DESCRIPTION:FLY-IN AT TAUMARANUI\, 17 – 19 October\, 2025 \nThe Taumaranui Aero Club has invited the Tiger Moth Club of NZ for its annual fly-in the weekend before Labour Weekend. \nThere will be the usual gathering of Tiger Moths and other DH aircraft\, along with GA aircraft owner or flown by members of the Tiger Moth Club. Competitions will be held on Saturday\, 17 October with the annual dinner to follow. \nThis event commemorates the founding of the Tiger Moth Club at Taumaranui in 1969. \n\nSaturday is competition day with results and winners announced at a dinner on Saturday night.\nSunday normally has no planned activity except members departing for home.\nThe weekend will always be held regardless of the weather. You may just take the road.\n\nA registration form can be accessed through the link below. DESCRIPTION:For all New Zealand Motor Caravan Association (NZMCA) Members interested in coming to Taumarunui on the weekend of 17-19 October: A space and a view to look forward to in Taringamutu\, Tamarunui\, in October. The first photo is the Taringamutu School Paddock which is available for NZMCA Members’ Motorhomes and Caravans to park on for the “Meet and Greet” weekend of 17\, 18 and 19 October. It is 700m or so from the Taumarunui Airfield where the annual Tiger Moth Flyin will be held during the same dates. The other photo is the great view of Mt Ruapehu taken from near the golf course. Don’t forget to mark up your calendar to avoid missing out. This year’s event could rejuvenate making the annual visit of NZMCA Membrs to Taumarunui for the Tiger Moth Flyin. This one is also a great opportunity for the new Members\, who have recently joined the NZMCA Lake Taupo Area who live in Ongarue\, Taumarunui\, Manunui\, Taringamutu\, Owhango\, Waimarino and nearby districts\, to meet each other as well as Members from other parts of the NZMCA Lake Taupo Area and even other NZMCA Areas.
