Tiger Moth Fly-in at Taumarunui

FLY-IN AT TAUMARANUI, 17 – 19 October, 2025

The Taumaranui Aero Club has invited the Tiger Moth Club of NZ for its annual fly-in the weekend before Labour Weekend.

There will be the usual gathering of Tiger Moths and other DH aircraft, along with GA aircraft owner or flown by members of the Tiger Moth Club. Competitions will be held on Saturday, 17 October with the annual dinner to follow.

This event commemorates the founding of the Tiger Moth Club at Taumaranui in 1969.

• Saturday is competition day with results and winners announced at a dinner on Saturday night.
• Sunday normally has no planned activity except members departing for home.
• The weekend will always be held regardless of the weather. You may just take the road.

Deerness Awards:

At the Dinner, we will not only be awarding the prizes for competition flying but also the Ray Deerness Awards for Photographic and Literary excellence. Two separate categories. Get your
