COMMUNITY HUI Future Local Government Amalgamation Proposals

Ruapehu District Council is inviting the community to attend a public meeting to
discuss what is currently known about the Government’s proposed local
government amalgamation and unitary authority changes.

This is an opportunity to:
• Hear about the information available so far
• Understand the potential options and implications for Ruapehu
• Ask questions and share your views
• Be part of the conversation about our district’s future

Mayor Weston Kirton and Council representatives will provide an overview of the current
situation and outline the work Council is undertaking to better understand the opportunities,
risks, and possible impacts for Ruapehu communities.
